over excrusion

ok, my graffiti sound subs, just stoped working, but it comes on once in a while.

well I took it out and bench tested it, and found the the wire from the post to the coil was broke in one spot, kind of like it was excrusioned to far? well, what type of wire could i replace that with/ I will try to solder it or something, so let me know what you think about this

you can't solder the tinsel leads, they harden up when heat is applied..

you could try to completely remove the tinsel, and replace it.. good luck splicing into the wire in the cone..

if it was me... I'd have a one man woofer throwing contest with it... it's very hard to fix a tinsel broken in half..

ok, well i am desperate so i got some fine speaker wire and warped the tinsel wire.

it broke at the post, so the rest of the wire was still in good condition. afet i did that, i tested it and it is in good working order, till i can get new subs. hey what ever works right
