output problem

I have an alpine cda-9825 running a pair of boston sl60 and an alpine mrp-200 amp running an infinity 10' dual voice coil sub. The problem is i hardly get any volume from the sub. I have the gain maxed out and the preamp volume on the hu maxed out and the sub barely keeps up with the fronts. Could it be a bad hu bcause the amp and sub worked fine in my other car.

first thing first--read the gain tutorial--its not a volume knob. you could be cooking your amp right now. check your rca connections.

Disconnect one coil from the sub, if the bass response goes way up then you had one coil wired out of phase. Yikes........
