Output Between Same Subwoofer Line but Different Size (Same Watts)

I have always wondered if it has been tested and quantified between subwoofer sizes in the same line (ie type R, SA's, or whatever) with the same amount of watts, what the output difference would be. Anyone ever tested this?

You also have to look at how the box is built but generally the larger one will have more output since it has more cone area

On paper about 1.5db per size upOn paper. That's inaudible unless you really know your car
Is it really that little of a difference? I figured you'd get more of a difference with say a ten discplacing roughly 70% of the volume of air a twelve would at full excursion, all other variables kept constant.

1.5 dB up per size. Hmm. That does sound plausable. When going from 10 to 12 or 12 to 15 wouldn't be much audible difference but I would think most trained ears could tell a 3 dB difference between a 10 and a 15.
