when you do something illegal, you loose privacy, simple as that, in your case its minor, but for other peoples cases its jail probation or anything like that. Just give im some quik info, tell them how your day goes, tell them you shower then ********, and make em not want to read your personal info lol. but I would rather loose as much privacy as you do instead of going in every 2 weeks to do a drug test, which I think also violates my privacy, oh well lifes life, and people are curious about your life.

Doing something illegal and getting caught by the authorities is one thing. But an ISP handing over your private information to another company for a lawsuit is different.

IMHO this would be a complete violation of your rights to privacy. You might use the internet for political or medical record keeping, taxes, financial records, etc. You have a reasonable right to expect some privacy on the internet. At the very least you should expect your ISP not to divulge this information to private companies.

Yea I work for a cable provider and we get those quite a bit. Although we just suspend peoples service and make them call in. They are nice to send you a letter. [and we (cable provider) dont search for what you download, those requests are sent to us]
