I dont know about other virtual software, but Virtual PC will not run a virtual inside a virtual.

Well, say you want to run vista. Well now you can play around with it, and not have to worry when it crashes. Just format the virtual disk and do it again.

On a second note, it could be a great way to keep files secure. On your second OS, password protect it, then you have to boot up the first machine, then the second, both which have passwords. Even if someone stole your hard drive, they would have to get passed another password that can only be accessed through virtual PC.
