the enclosures look great specially for a first time fiberglass'ers. shit even if you wheren't a first timer, it looks great.
just a bit of a pointer for the next time you glass, to make sanding easier and better looking, specially for large panels like those, is best to get a large flexible sanding block. where you can stick a large piece of sand paper or a couple small ones and use that large surface to sand the panel, that will provide you with a nice even sanding surface and the end result wont have any waves at all. rather then using the smaller pads for sanding.
obviously the more fiberglass work you do the faster you're going to do it and the better overall results you'll have.
again great job guys. keep it up.
Yellow matches the car dude //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif ??? The reason the woofer is flared out is just because we've never attempted something like this before and wanted to break out of our normal rectangle box building patterns.Great job. The yellow looks too bright though, the silver looks fine matching the car but yellows soo bright. The box looks **** good, I like how it sits flush back in the trunk. What's the reason you guys flared out the subwoofer? Anyhow figured u guys were using same box, minus well go with same sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Nice job.
also, wetsanding over dry sanding. i like drysanding better, you see more of what it going on, but with wetsanding you can do like 6x more sanding on the same paper.the enclosures look great specially for a first time fiberglass'ers. shit even if you wheren't a first timer, it looks great.

Like I said in the original post, we do realize that the paint and clear was total overkill, but after you pay $25 for one 11.5 oz can of spray paint that matches the car we just simply said "What the hell!!!"6 layers of paint and 6 layers of clear?
cars only get 3 or 4 max of paint and 2-3 of clear. but nice.
after you cleared/wetsanded..did you buff them? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
very true..i go to tech school for painting. i just mix up whatever color i want and however much clear i want, sign out a spray gun for the night and walk out the door.Like I said in the original post, we do realize that the paint and clear was total overkill, but after you pay $25 for one 11.5 oz can of spray paint that matches the car we just simply said "What the hell!!!"
