Other Than RE Audio XXX What New Subwoofers Can Replace Ascendant Audio Avalanche?

I hope this is the right forum to post this question. It has more to do with specific subwoofers than home theater...

I recently nearly sold a couple of NIB Ava 18's to raise some cash but changed my mind when I saw how much similar new subs would cost... $800+ each. So I pawned a Beretta 9mm instead. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Are there any other suitable new replacements for the Ava 18" that can match or beat SQ and SPL that cost less than the RE XXX? I'm looking for low FS (below 20Hz) and low Qts (below .5) for HT use. As much as I'd love a pair (or four) of the RE 18's (or 21's) I just can't ever justify spending that much money.

What kind of box you looking to put them in.. Without answering that it's a impossible question to answer. Only easy answer is the Exodus audio Maelstrom 18/21 as it has very similar parameters and XBL^2, plus faraday rings.. Making it a upgraded avalanche. Those are discontinued too though so not an easy to find option as hardly anyone gets rid of them.

I believe the UXL driver from Mach 5 fits the bill as well. It's blasphemy on this forum, but even the sundown zv3 fits your requirment and would be very similar to the AVA in that it wont' play above 60hz worth a ****.. haha. FI Q or even an XCON are also options, but IMO, those 2 aren't quite as good. Anyway http://www.data-bass.com.
