Other than CDs where do your music?

These sites are technically illegal, correct?
Eh, sort of a grey area. The sites themselves (Waffles.fm and What.cd) don't actually hold any of the information that you're downloading. They just contain the torrent file that directs your client to other users and the file on their machine essentially. Which is why after they shut down OiNK, they were unable to get a conviction on the sites creator. They tried alleging that they charged a membership fee and were therefore profiting from it. Completely untrue. Membership was free, but you could donate to help support the cost of the servers if you wished.

Now while the sites themselves might not be technically illegal, the downloading of the content by yourself if you do not own it, is.

I myself have no moral qualms about downloading music though. I fully believe that artists should be supported for what they do, I want them to keep creating the music that enhances my life. If it weren't for torrent sites, I wouldn't have discovered 75% of the music I listen to. In order for me to support the bands I love, I go see them in concert when they come through my area and am always sure to drop some cash at their merch table for T-shirts/CDs/whatever. They make a lot more money that way then buying the album off of iTunes or any other streaming service. If the band doesn't come through my area, or I'm not able to see the show, I'll order the CD direct from the artist's website, or from their record label. This way they're not being screwed over by Amazon, Walmart, or Best Buy.

Trying to find 320kpbs songs random places on the internet is hard, and half the time I cant find the song I'm looking for in 320 or higher. So other than ripping from CDs where do you get your music?
Wow, I really butchered the title. Should be "Other than CDs where do you get your music?"
Ive used torrents since kid. I downloded I torch browser and have had no problems it's awesome. Torrents areo the way to go. Don't abuse free music rights lol. I only download artists I know I'll never buy there cd and buy the cd to support your fav artists

datpiff onto flash drives
I could never get dattpiff mistakes higher than 192. In my opinion the musics quality isn't good on that site. It's nice cause it's mix tapes so it's all legal tho. Is there a way to download a higher bit rate cause I love their selection?

i rely on people, borrowing external HDD's. I've burned all 400+ CD's of mine to 320kbps. enough to collect tens of thousands of songs. i use Pandora for finding new artists, and buy CD's I like. i still prefer full res versions.
