how may watt are u feeding your JLs, look into the RE SE woofer. they rated for 600 watts each, also the RE SRs are nice units, i just installed one tonigh,i didnt have time to take it for a drive, but very nice build qulity and pretty hefty for a entry level 10" sub the rated for 300watts, and despite what RE site says, they come in dual 2 and 4 ohm VC

ap/spls are good spl subs, but for daily driving they wont work the best

Try taking out the poly fill, if you have not all ready ? Box is all ready kind of big for them. When i installed my w6's i took the poly fill out and i was very happy with the fox box.

DD's are nice subs and very loud but as with most spl subs, the mounting depth is going to become a factor.

The best advice i can give you and its free, is to try taking the poly fill out.

Coming from the w6's, you would NOT be happy with the alpine r's.

FI Q's and BTL's are nice and thats what i'm going with in the new truck (woot, i can fit a 15). Just checked and the 10" q's are 6.5" deep. his question is a bit vague. he already has w6's, so his sq "should" be top notch.
