Orlando or florida members??

Ill be moving to orlando in may to start a new job. I want to know what are some good areas to get a apartment in, and some to stay away from? how is the life down there (weather, traffic, girls, clubs, crime, etc..)?

Orlando is a sweet spot to live I am moving there myself next year I am from Florida but not to sure about O-town.

certain areas near UCF are infested with ricans and don't go south of 50 if you can help it, crime is getting a lot worse, but if you are able, try and stay in the winter park area, it's extremely nice over here.

Orlando the city itself is a shithole, I would move to somewhere outside of the city.

x2 ^ roads are terrible, traffice is terrible. move outside of orlando. im 30 minutes away and like it.

Please dont go too west though either, bunch of shithole towns ourside of Orlando. Like above, try to stay above 50 if you are moving to the city part. I personally wouldn't move there, I can't stand Orlando and the Orlando area.

I live about 30 minutes away from actual Orlando and its great. You have all of the upsides of o-town; the bangin girls, downtown/UCF clubs, and you can avoid most of the traffic.

yea i was lookin at apts in the winter park and seminole area.

im from stl so crime cant be that bad:crap:, and yea im a lil worried bout traffic

UCF or Winter Park area is a good start to look. Any Idea where your getting a job at here. May help on living locations. I live by UCF right now in a 2 bedroom 2 bath Duplex for only 700 a month and have my own 2 car drive way so if you look you can find some sweet deals around here besides an apartment. Women are a dime a dozen, Clubs are always doing something, weather right now is getting on my nerves (hot and cold off and on), Traffic is a pain if you need to get around fast buy a Epass for the 408 expressway makes life easier on the road, Crime seems to get worse by the year just a matter of time before the city gets really mad about it and starts cracking on it more. Other than that man its cool just takes time to get used to and make sure to get your stuff together before getting settled. Housing is going mad cheap so if you have good credit may want to look into getting a house as well before next year is over. Hope it helps just hit me up if you need to know any more info.

thanks for the info. yea i got a job wit lockheed martin not sure where exactly it is in orlando. i dont mind drivin to work, just want to live in a good area. that duplex sounds real good, how close to campus r u? whats the name of it? I was thinkin bout gettin a house but wasnt sure yet. ill be takin a trip down there soon to search the areas for housing.

thats not bad, just a lil to far to b drivin. i was lookin to spend about 700-850/mo and wouldnt mind 20-40 min drive.

I am in Coral Reef Drive Orlando FL 32826 which is like walking distance from UCF Campus. LockHeed is may be like 15-30 minutes from here max. Allot of the places in here are private owner most of the time. You get a few company owners every now and then.

Keep in mind on UCF side there is always something going on. It stays quite then oops someone did something stupied. Other than that nice area. You can rent houses for major cheap as well between here and all the way down University BLVD to 436 (Semoran BLVD).

make sure you don't move to crime hills, mercy drive, or anywhere else stupid. Those places are sure to get you shot and killed. Even if everyone in pine hills has 4ft rims.
