what experience do you guys have with the orion 1200d? is stable at ohm loads lower that 1? i might buy an orion 2500d to run at .5 ohms. i read on the soundpressure forums that 2 orion 1200ds strapped at a .5 ohm load, so that each "see" a .25 ohm load will make more power than the 2500d at .5. could this be possible? will the 1200s go as low as .25?

No...there are questions wether it will take a .5 ohm load.

I had a 1200d running at .5 ohms and it didn't last very long... the amp was fried within a week...

****! there goes that idea. how will the 2500 do at .5 ohms? could it push out 3000 watts with 14.4 volts at .5?

Ive dipped my 2500d down to .5 ohm. It got pretty hot. I wouldn't recomend running it daily at .5, but for short burps 'twas ok.
