my friend turned to me today for some advice. he has 2-10 HCCA with a BD1000 on each one. they are each in there own box with about 1ft^3@45Hz. hes wanting to go louder.(hes jelous of my xplod's, i think it just tuning) well he has 2 of the old school polk db 12's and wants to know which would be better. the 2 polks in a 3ft^3@25Hz box, or the HCCA's in a bigger box tuned alot lower? he likes his cause it hits the higher notes hard, but he likes mine cause on the lower notes it really starts shaking sh!t. each sub would be on a BD1000, i realize i'd have to gain them down a bit for the polks, but what do you guys think?

with the 10's in a bigger box tuned lower would they hit as low as the 12's? would they be louder?

I have 2 10's. first time I ever bought subs that small. They are tuned to 35 Hz and hit LOW

do not get polks. they cannot handle that power. i wouldnt even reccomend them running at any over 500w

i understand this. i was trying to figure out witch one would be louder/sound better(in your opinion)not weather one could take more power. more power does not always mean louder.

Hands down Orion, Polks in my experiences are overrated and flat out just dont cut it.
