Tahoe, I would like the HCCA 12, but not sure if I should go with the 2 or 4 ohm?

That would depend upon the amp. Some amps put out the most power in 2 or 1 ohm.

Well I would like to match my sub and amp from same company, I'm kind of OCD that way. However, if there is an amp that would push those certain subs I would be open to it. Any recommendations?

Tahoe, I see you have soundstream amps. I have looked at the new tarantulas and the arachnid series amps. Are the newer SS products any good?

I wouldn't got with newer SS stuff. To me, it's mainstream junk. Yeah I know I might be bashing SS but they just seem cheaply made.

What's your budge for sub/amp combo?

$750-$1000 for both sub and amp. Tahoe, I have also thought about going with 4 8's, but I think I would rather have a 12.

I'll check them out. While we are talking, I am about to change out the factory speakers in the front door(6x9) and the dash(3 1/2). Would just putting in a 6x9 component set wor, just putting tweeters in the dash?

Get yourself a nice component set 6.5". Baffles can be made or bought for the 6x9 opening.
