If all goes to plan ill b getting one of these and I'm super stoked a out it...but is it really worth the hype? And how many watts can it REALLY handle given the right box 2000 seems low for a sub like this?

Did you get newer model or one of the older ones? I really liked the older ones. Great subs! The new ones not so much.... I'm guessing they take quite a bit more than 2000 if it's good clean power.

Dont be a troll dude... the w7 first off has never been a spl driver. and 3k watts on a sub rated 750rms/1500peak... that orion would put that on there website shows how douchey they are.

And funny how you LOL at JL but the stroker is rated 2k/4k and didnt last as long as the JL. Orions sound like puke.

Did you read any of it? Did you look at enclosure specs or anything? That test shows nothing more then they can destroy subs.

meh, that test is crap and has no validation. To be honest i don't think it was even an honest test.

Also, lets not forget that they did choose smaller drivers to compare it to. Other large drivers are much better and even in such a horrible test would do better.

I'm not saying the Orion is not a decent sub..but that test is laughable.

I can see that. Now lower your expectations some. That way it won't let you down. It should do really well, but if you put it up on the top shelf it is liable to fall short of those expectations.

Got it installed its.still stiff Guy said it was never amped up and to breaknl it in first so I have is maybe half mass and it def slams!

How big of a box should I have? The site says 3 cubes but how big of a port and could I do an even bigger box?

I think they chose those subs cause they were in the same price range

Mechanically they can handle a lot of power, thermally, I wouldn't suspect they'll even hold 2K for that long.
