Orion Amps

Hey I was Wondering are Orion amps any good? Iam asking because i was looking at at two amps the Orion Cobalt CO800.1 mono block amp and the Memphis 16-MC1.1100. What do you guys think?

Orions are good amps, especially the older ones.

Well, if you are talking about the new Orion Cobalt 800.1, that baby amp puts out a whopping 300 watts RMS @ 4 ohms or 400 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. IMHO, it is yet another POS overseas built amp that commits blasphemy by bearing the Orion name!

I won't say the same about the DEI produced Orion amps that decided to forgo the passion that Richard LeMay once had for quality car audio and strictly use the Orion name for profit! Just wait until you see what the Orion anniversary editions retail for

They're not really my cup of tea but those older Orions, like Jesse's 2100.....Those were amazing bad *** amps. But I'm a US Amps fan boy so I'm biased a bit.

Just the AX line. Nothing compares to the old ones.

Yeah, Ive got an old audio art 50HC sitting here, used to have two of them. Havent found a use for it in about 10 years but its such a good old amp I just dont want to part with it.
