orion 2500d help

okay i put both of my subs in and they are not nearly as loud as they should be. I had one hooked up to a 1000 watt amp and it easily outperformed both of my subs with the 2500d. what the hell is going on?

u guys are saying that all 4 speaker terminals have to be used right?.........but what if u only have 1 sub?.....do u do a coil to each side or something? (assuming its a dvc)

and what if its only a svc sub?......how would u manage that?.........jus curious

No, you dont have to use all of the speaker connections. Just there as a convenience.

Decipha was talking about the dual power/ground inputs, just asking if they were all wired up.

the what is this guy talkin about?

alotta problems are arising with the orion 2500d's (prior to the new ones) as of lately.
but yes, hook up both sets of power and ground terminals.

and use both speaker terminals since it's a mono amp. don't try to "bridge" it.

i had it wired at 3 ohms and my dub7 barely moved. it's better at .5 or 1ohms. it's most efficient then.

**imma break it down fa ya**

the 4 speaker terminals are 2 negs, 2 pos's you can't possibly bridge it.. end of discussion

you need ALL 4 power terminals connected; thus 2 4ga pos, and 2 4ga negs... end of discussion

check the high pass filter on the amp, turn it all the way down, don't worry about the intelli q knob, i usually leave mine all the way down

set the low pass filter between 50hz and 150hz try to get it directly in the middle

set the output selector switch to "copy"

that should do it, if not you shouldn't be operating this type of machinery or you may have a fuged up amp

^^hope this helps, happy wanging
