well i got two 04 12" L7's, big 3, and a red top, they are dual 4 ohm, i had them wired to 1 ohm to my orion 2500d and i think that was way too much power for them because i always smelled voice coil after about 10 minutes of them playing(i know the 06's can take 1200 a piece easy), so i took them out the box and now i rewired them to 4 ohms, so they get 1200 watts because i saw that the orion 2500d puts out 1200 at 4 ohm, now is this the max it puts out at 4 ohm or can it be more, also, how many watts do you guys think its putting out is my voltage is staying at 13.8-14.1, thanks

but now sinc weim gettin 1200 watts at 4 ohm, what should my dmm read when i do the test? Sqrt(Power*Resistance) = Voltage

so sqrt(1200*4)=70 is this right?

i had it about half way and yea i tried turning it down, it wouldnt sound as loud tho, and when it did, the coil would start to smell

if they were the 06 L7s they'd be yangin'

Not sure at all what that has to do with his question. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

1200 is the rms on the 2500d at 4 ohms.

Might be a little more, though, but nothing too significant.
