The battery in my Explorer is on the verge of going bad, so I figured its a good time to upgrade to a better battery. I have been pieceing my stereo system together as money comes in. Should I get a regular battery, Optima Yellow Top, or a Optima Red Top.

People keep telling me if I listen to my stereo with the car off to go with a Yellow Top. I do that sometimes but its hard to say whether or not I'll do it when I have a decent system in it. So what do you guys think I should do. I'll probably be getting a HO alternator this summer so which battery should I go with? I need to make this decision today b/c I'd like to run by the shop and get the new battery today. Thanks!

So you think the Red Top will do fine for when I have the system as well. I sure would like to save all that money that would go towards the Yellow Top... So I guess I'll be fine with the Red. Thanks Man.

The Red tops are fitted to Kenworth trucks as an option here in OZ,so they are a good solid units but their price in OZ is a bit high compared to wat you crew in the States can obtain.

Go the Red...

Im putting one on my car next week....work discount!!!

Edit: I bought the Red Top today with the 3 Year Warranty. I can tell a difference when starting my engine, it doesn't take as much to turn it over now...
