Optidrive subs??????

Just curious is anybody has had any experiences with them. Heard them once and they sounded pretty good imo, but i'm a newb so what are your opinions?

Hard to get an honest opinion on those.

Most people who only know lanzar through vibe and heritage will tell you Lanzar blows and those are a waste of good money, but people who are famaliar with Optidrive subs and amps will probably say it is pretty good quality gear.

I ran a HRWDC12 for a few months, they would fall right below the Opti 1224/1234's -- not bad, but not what's advertised, I ran 700w to it and I don't think it could have handled much more (rated at 1000). It did sound decent and go pretty low. Wasn't impressed with its SPL. It was tuned low though at 28-29.

I recently bought a pair of Opti1232d's. They should have been here by now, but the seller is dragging his feet on shipping them (ebay). If they ever get here I'll gladly post a review.

The spider is not only glued in place, but held down by a plasic ring, and you can see the woven in tensile leads.

Should be able to get it installed Friday night.

I'm impressed. One 1232d in a trunk and almost uncomfortable at high volume.

Box is 2.7 net, slot ported to 28. The slot is actually a little small. I have some port noise, but to hear it I have to actually open the trunk and stand behind the car.

I got a pair of them on ebay with a POS sealed enclosure for $250 shipped. It's one of the best additions I've made.

I've heard all genres and haven't heard anything I haven't been impressed with.

Rock is tight and clean, Bass Mekanik is the same - low, accurate, sounds great.

It's no $300 Fi or DD or whatever people are drooling over lately, but for $150 new I'd like to know what can top it.

the 1233d looks interesting too. Dual 1.2's won't cut it for me though.
