Any respect Lanzar's clinging to is due almost entirely to the optidrive amps. The 1400D will give you what's advertised. It's a solid amp.

I've got a 2000D. It sounds very nice paired with my Eclipse 8200. Linear voice coil on the sub, very nice SQ

well sub bass is dirtymuddy sounding anyway and most class D amps only go up to 200 hz but i usually cross it over at 80 hz for my sub.
