Im starting to look at getting a new car. I probably wont buy anything until the beginning of next summer but I know for sure that I want to have a good set up in whatever vehicle I choose. I know that currently you can get trucks & suv's really cheap and I may end up considering one. However, I wanted to know what your opinions are on having a good set up in a full size truck or avalanche/escalade ext. I dont want to take out my back seats but I wont have a trunk to put anything in. How much of a problem will this be for putting in a new system. I dont want to do competitions but I do want it to be decently loud and sound good.

any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

shouldn't this be in the general discussion section?

anyways if you want a full size truck and keep the rear seats then your going to have to go with shallow subs. unless if you feel like going with a blow-thru. other than that you are quite limited.

You can lift your rear seats for more room underneath....or you can buy an extended cab just to rip out the backseats like I did //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

avalanche=easy as hell blow-thru
what exactly does that mean

id want a full size truck because i need the back seats. id have to look into lifting the seats.

basically a blow-thru is you build your enclosure in the bed of the truck. then channel the audio from the enclosure into the cabin of the truck. to do so depending on what vehicle if you get an Avalanche they have a drop down barreir that opens up the wall inbetween both cabin and bed for an easy build. most other trucks do now have this and will require cutting of the bed and the cabin wall to allow blow through access..
