Opinion - What to do

If you can get the VIN for that Evo, I'll pull a carfax for you, but it'll have to be sometime before the end of Saturday because my subscription runs out then. It sounds like a fairly good deal to me, but you might be able to get it cheaper if you try. He might've accidentally quoted what they have in the car, which is a pretty damn bad mistake on his part, if that's what happened. He's probably emphasizing that's the asking price and not the final because after taxes, etc. it'll be more.

from one mustang owner to another keep the car man... dont down grade to a 4 banger... if your rearend is acting up or making noise you may need to check the lube in the rear sometimes if the lube burns off axles will grind... mustangs really arent that bad on gas... my buddies 03 cobra ( 474 rwhp) gets 24-25 on the highway...if you are really going to get rid of it dont get a srt-4 they are full of problems... evo is probly your best bet... good luck

that's bullshit and i don't care how you wan to try and say it isn't. it was only rated at 22 and i've never heard of a car getting 2-3 mpg more than it used to stock with another 200-300hp. stock is only 390hp at the crank you're talking right at 300 at the wheels so to get that 174rwhp that you say he has he'd have to add almost 200-300 at the crank.

MMmmm

So what's happening

Stock Mach system is going in

My 4002 ORion, my DLS MS6's and my 680 Premier are coming out

Getting an 05 Evo, All black with black leather interior

Should be anyways, gonnacost me around 240 a month what do ya'll think?

'03-'04 Cobra's were underrated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif. I've seen dynos in the 360-370 rwhp range.

What kind of problems are you talking about on the SRT-4s? I'm not trying to be an ***, I'm just curious //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

stock they were doing 360-370hp? there's no way in **** that's true. if it then they had what over 500hp at the crank? that's 110+ over the stock hp ratings.

then that stang must have the single greatest drivetrain ever built in the history of man. they didn't run but a 12.9 stock and had 360-370 hp. IMO that's sad seeing as how the stock Z06' has the same power but run's 1.4 seconds faster? those are the most powerful mustangs ever built then i'd imagine b/c even the new SVT is only 475 at crank i'd imagine it looses about 100hp to the wheels? maybe not.

Z06s weigh 3100 while the Cobras weigh close to 3700. The Z06 also cost about $10K more than the Cobra too. I would be willing to bet that the new Cobras are going to be just as underrated as the old ones. I'm not a Ford fan at all, but they weren't playing around with the '03-04 Cobras. You can get a smaller pulley and a tune for around $500 and get a gain of about 50-60 RWHP.

Not to be an ***, but there are different kinds of fast

That evo, any day, over my 04 GT right? My 04 GT felt like it would wax that ***, but you know good and **** well it wont lol

I didnt get the Evo by the way, it was torn apart when I got there so I told them to go to hell lol

Actually they were underrated from the factory, so seeing 350-370RWHP from them stock was normal. Even at 370RWHP having a 16% drivetrain loss is only 440HP at the crank. Even still they are slow for what they are IMO.

As for the maker of this thread. Keep the car, it's already paid off. Fix it up and add some power if you want to. It really makes no sense if you are trying to save money to go get a car and have a montly payment. With the money you save from buying a new car it would pay for your gas and then some IMO.
