Operating Power (PE)

Ahhh, someone with old subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif That's the way subs used to be rated by Kicker, and Fosgate. They didn't list rms and max, just pe. Don't know the technical definition right off hand. It's the rms power for MUSIC. Not test tones and such //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yep , nothing but 2,4,8,16 and dvc's recently. That's why I was figuring he measured the coil. The series one 18's only came in svc 4 or 8ohm I do believe //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

"Pe" is the term used to describe continuous power handling in the T/S parameters. For example, if you look at some driver spec sheets (like most drivers on Madisound), the power handling will be listed as Pe.

I believe it is actually supposed to describe the "thermal capacity" (thermal power handling) of the driver, but has been replaced by the generic "continuous (or RMS) power handling" definition by most companies/people.
