What equipment are you referring to. I would assume "operating power" would be the operating power you are supposed to use

But what is the equipment in question?

They didn't list rms and max, just pe. Don't know the technical definition right off hand. It's the rms power for MUSIC. Yea the sub is a 18" fosgate that came out in 1992 so if i run it off a JBL 300.1 i should be fine

150rms @ 4 ohm

300 rms @ 2 ohm

the sub is single 3 ohm

Fosgate never had a 3ohmer in my experience. Chances are it's a single 4ohm. Then yes that amp would be fine.

"Pe" is the term used to describe continuous power handling in the T/S parameters. For example, if you look at some driver spec sheets (like most drivers on Madisound), the power handling will be listed as Pe.

I believe it is actually supposed to describe the "thermal capacity" (thermal power handling) of the driver, but has been replaced by the generic "continuous (or RMS) power handling" definition by most companies/people.
