Pics of an 8-point I killed yesterday at 8:20 AM with my brand new Tika T3 Lite in .300 WSM .. Deer came in right on top of me and I had to shoot him quartering to me at 35 yards.. Somehow he managed to run about 50 yards before he expired.

Pic of the entry hole.. Those 165grain Federal Fusion bullets in .300 WSM do the damage!! Oh yeah before any asks, the spots of missing hair are from dragging him out of the woods..

Very nice man. I went hunting this morning. We use dogs to flush out the deer. But there was a buck that was shot at today but once te shooting started, the deer kicked it into high gear and fled the country. lol

Unfortunately I did not get to shoot tho.

By the way, did that 8 point run far? Or did he even run at all? Cuz that looks like he would have instantly dropped afterhe was hit

That deer looks sad, I only bow hunt nowadays because using a gun seems almost unfair. Also using a bow makes it more difficult and more of an accomplishment.

I know that alot of people have never hunted with the aid of dogs, But I would have to say that its challenging. When youre trying to hit that deer when he is hauling *** across the road, I owuld say thats a challenge for me.

I mean last year I had to shoot a dear four times before it died. Mainly because he was going on adrenaline I guess. After it was all over, he had one front leg still intact lol.

Its funny I get there this morning and I find out that between four people. They had shot 16 times with 00 buck at a deer and never touched him.

I enjoy running dogs occassionally... Specially those mornings when its below freezing and 30mph wind!

Another note, I've never seen the hair come off from dragging like that. We always drag our's out of the woods and that has never happened before.

Well this deer was killed about 1 mile off the road on public land.. We didn't have our 4-wheeler cause another guy in our crew brought his.. That guy took the 4-wheeler to get the deer and my dad who was with the deer.. The guy also had his climbing stand he had left in there and a lot of clothes.. So there wasnt no room for the deer on the 4-wheeler.. They just drug him behind it, and most of the way was gravel road.
