onyx 2000 vs Ap1800

I honestly don't think there's that much gold in there. It might have 3-5oz "traces," that are gold plated for corrosion. Gold is a relatively shitty conductor.

I had to wiki that and you are right, i do stand corrected, the best metallic conductor would be silver, but I still think for a buck-twenty-five that amp would be a steal...if it works, that would be a bonus.

All tho the dtrs are nice they make power at .5 ohm
actually its only the dtr3400 thats .5 ohm. the 2200 is rated at 1ohm

Yessir, I am REALLY wanting one now. however I can not find one in the 2000rms range... they discontinued. So dumb. Who gaps amp power from 1700 to 3400 =/
give me a sec ill see if i can find one

I might buy the 3400 and turn it WAY down? I mean they are SA 12's as long as the power is clean It should be able to handle a good bit of power. input on buying a 3400 and going super easy on gains?
are your subs d2 or d4? the dtr3400 is rated 2200rms @ 1 ohm. that would work as well. i was about to suggest that seeing i could not find any dtr2200's lol. i mean those subs will take more then you think i bet. my aqs only rated for 1000rms but you know how ratings go anyway. my aq loves it lol
