onyx 2000 vs Ap1800

The DTR's have 1/0 inputs even though all the specs say 4awg. If I recall, the 1700's are in that range and is most certainly an upgrade over your AP. The DB Drive mentioned is a beast of a 2k. The SoundStream RUBi 2500's look solid for the price. Haven't tested one yet though. The Crescendo 2k recently went up in price, I believe and is no longer on my list of "budget" amps.

Between the two you originally asked about, I'd take Maxxonics all day over AP garbage.

With all of that said... if I had $280 and was huntin' an amp, I'd be all over that DB Drive.

Thanks taylorfade for the very helpful input.
and by the way dont listen to the guy saying the soundstreams are not good. you can ask "taylorfade" about those as well. but yea i would go with the db drive as well, i know it will do some work.

i wuz bored...but look at the all the gold!

Phoenix gold amp

I bet if this guy knew how much gold was in the white box he is holding, he would not be asking 125 bucks..LMAO..i bet someone could smelt out a couple grand in gold alone!...geezus if any one of you guys are close check it out everything on that oldskool amp is plated in 24k, since it is the superior conductor of electricity. They built that amp when gold was 100 bucks an ounce...and you paid for it when you bought one.

I dunno, man. I'm inclined to say yes, but I don't want anyone burning their amp up because I told them it could. Lol. Curiosity is about to get the better of me and I'm going to have to buy one just to test it.
i read in the specs on a sales page it did, but you know how typo's can be..Ill try to look that up

ps do you know how much gold would be in that PG 2500 i posted a link to earlier?..IIRC, they were like 3-5 oz gold clad boards and all connectors...BTW, the guy thinks he is holding a 2500 watt amp, LOL...it was rated at 2x 50w rms @ 4ohm and put out like 700+ bridged at 1 ohm

I honestly don't think there's that much gold in there. It might have 3-5oz "traces," that are gold plated for corrosion. Gold is a relatively shitty conductor.
