the db drive is a great amp they do more than rated power. i would go the AP route the mb quart is a lil powerhouse too but the db drive will outperform. the brutus and mb quart are about the same circuity wise since they are both made by maxxsonics. soundstream is a decent brand as well all pretty close to ur price range

Alphasonic always was low end. They have not improved. Out of the OPs choice, I would choose the MB quart amps (Although they are fairly close)

I agree with that, no doubt. I would call them ok, not SPL amps or trash, but ok. As far as OP's decision Quart or AP, I would agree there too, Quart.

Soundstream dtrs maybe ? And im mainly upgrading so its a little better on electrical. More efficient at making power. And vine grove is just about an hout from louisville

and i have a dtr3400... they are beast amps well. i love mine and its pretty good on my stock electrical. tho im wired t 1 ohm right now. but im bout to upgrade my alt and recone my sub to a d1 and run it .5 ohm daily. which dtr was you looking at

the db drive will out perform any amp thats been listed. other then my dtr3400. it will out perform the dtr2200 tho.

I was looking at the rubicon 2500 no tower amp because i dont see 1700 as an upgrade from my current 1800 ap. And 3400 is too much

the rubi's are nice as well and will perform good. i was going to get a rubi a few months ago but decided not to. the dtower also come in a 2200rms model as well.

id say you would like that amp. it will have cleaner power, and id say more efficent then the ap. like i said i have stock 100amp alt and 3 not very good batts and maintain 12.7 or .8 90% of time depending on the song. so im think the dtr2200 would be pretty easy on electrical

Crescendo and turn it down a bit. Nothing better new in its price range. Sound stream is not good at all. Ap is junk and mb is maxxsonics crap

I understand AQ, sundown, crecendo, zed, skar, and boston are amazing amps. But I am just not looking for an amplifier that costs that much. I am only looking for an amplifier that will provide cleaner power than my AP 1800. and pref. have 0 gauge inputs.
