Onkyo sr605.....

I have a SR701, and a 501, and I love both to death. The 700 series are great, I'm thinking of getting a 705, maybe a 805 next, but I don't see much need to. They work amazing with my Polk RTi12's(bi-amped, woofers off 100w on seperate amp) and rest of the system, and really have great sound quality, just with movies, or crankin music. But they do give off a LOT of heat lol.

Nothin wrong with a 605, it should be close to my 701 with all the updates they've made in the fast few years. The only

The 605 rocks, 700 series are just baller:fro:

even working for magnolia, i dont think that the denons in that price range really stand up to the 605. hell i would even consider getting a 605 at normal price.
if i were you i would pull that trigger. just curious, what speakers are you running.

right now I have my old Onkyo with all KLH speakers front, center, surround.

I am looking at the Boston VR2 front towers, and VRC center channel. I am headed to circuit city tomorrow to give them a listen before I buy them. Then in a month or so I will get some surrounds and a sub. (really thinking about building my own HT sub enclosure and dropping a plate amp and sub in it)

any speaker suggestions??? I want some nice Tower speakers.... no satelite speakers.

well said, I also think there reliability is great. come to think of it, the only thing I DON'T like is the heat mine produces.
I usually call it my little space heater. cant argue about the power or the sound quality though.
Little space heater?

Try owning a Plasma TV... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

so how is this sucker? is it as good as it looks (on paper)?
and is the 90 watts per channel sufficient??

let's hear you thoughts and experience with it.

or should I shell out the exra couple hundred bucks for the 705?
soundandvisionmag.com.......... do a search for all onkyo's on there

I mean, it's not "HOT"...
It does give off heat all the while it's on though... not as much as EhRon's Plasma though...

Mine is a 37" Olevia.

I got mine for $499 for a 37" HD LCD about a year ago...
I love it, can't be beat for the price... even almost a year later.
