Can you explain why their products are good without going into other people here liking them or Jacob being a good guy? (And I am NOT saying that he's not a good guy or that his products are bad)He even said in his first post that he was thinking about running a sundown sub. No one is getting a boner here at all. I dont even own any sundown equipment, yet I still know they are a great company.
Because like everyone else, you are going by what people say about themHe even said in his first post that he was thinking about running a sundown sub. No one is getting a boner here at all. I dont even own any sundown equipment, yet I still know they are a great company.
I agree. Don't get sucked into the sa is god thing. Get a Tc epic 8 they are priced well and will outperformCan you explain why their products are good without going into other people here liking them or Jacob being a good guy? OP: If you want the SA-8 then go ahead and get it. It is a subwoofer. It will make bass. I do believe the Dayton will be better, and that 6dB of sensitivity is about equivalent to running 4x the power, and it will sound better (in the "more accurate reproduction" sense) due to the lower distortion motor. But will you hear a sound quality improvement? Who knows.

I read several reviews and they all said that the dayton blended beautifully with the music... but they all said the output was not too impressive and im a little worrried about that. Can you explain why their products are good without going into other people here liking them or Jacob being a good guy? (And I am NOT saying that he's not a good guy or that his products are bad)

especially when "overpowering" the sa-8 the small box size works very well. i wouldnt put it in more than .75, but if that amp does what you said it was clamped at then a slightly smaller box wouldnt hurt. just make sure you give it enough port area to actually let it move.Really 0.6? I haven't been able to find box specs (haven't looked too hard yet) but that's how much the E8 needs lol. A box that size would be great.
This is what initially turned me on to the SA-8; I am always paranoid of damaging my sub and everything I've read indicates you can beat on these all day and they'll thank you kindly for it. We'll see if it works out for this application... Money is an issue - this was not budgeted for! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifive had experience with the sub on a few occasions and have see the kind of abuse that they can take.
