One SA-8 enough?

So the gf just hinted to me that she wants a sub YAY!!!!

She is not a demanding listener really but her car really is lacking bass; car is a 2007 Cobalt LT Sedan. I took a listen the other day and yes she could use the sub. She never really turns it up more than 1/3, and she does not need to shake her mirror off, just add in those missing frequencies and hopefully let her feel it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Would a single SA-8 in a ported box be enough? I'm not sure if too much would be lost through the rear seats. I has an Elemental Designs NINE.2x that I could use in there... I will wanna spend less than 100 on the sub so will be buying used or a recone. Might get something else depending on what's available, but have been wondering if anyone runs a single SA-8 in the trunk.

Get a dual 2ohm bridge ur 9.2 and with rise your amp will see well above a 4ohm load. Set the gains correctly and let it go.

Yes I was going to be gentle with the gain, however I just had a thought -

Could I use a d4 and connect 1 channel to each coil? 200 per channel...

Dumb idea?

Why SA-8? I say 10" Dayton Reference HO. The SA-8 is incredibly inefficient.
