Hey all, I'm finaly back online and now up in VA!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I won 1st place in my very first competition running Soundstream. I was in the 0-300 watt class.

Amplifier: Soundstream Rubicon 302 2 channel

Subwoofer: Soundstream EG15-X 15 inch

Enclosure: 3.9 cf sealed box

Db score: 135.2

1st Place baby!

I just wanted to share.

I shouldbe on the usaci site with my spl numbers. I'll look around and try to find it.

On porting the box I can't because soundstream doesn't recomend porting with this subwoofer.

My new plans will be to go with 4 trantula 12's ported walled off im my monte carlo. It'll probably cost me around 2 grabd for the set up and I want to try to stay in the 301-900w range. I'll look and find some relly oldschool ss amps like the 5.0 or 10.0 amplifiers and see what I can acomplish.

you do realize they have re-rated all the oldschool cheater amps and you cant get those low "factory" rated amps anymore.

just because a company does not recommend ported, does not mean it cant play in a ported enclosure. it means it will not sound as good in a ported enclosure, and it cant handle as much power on a daily basis (more mechanical excursion is possible because of the vent)

if you dont understand this - then i dont recommend yourself building a wall lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Do you have a link for the amps that have been re-rated? Also I will have a shop doing the wall enclosure, I'm still new to box building myself.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

if u got to soundoff.org and click on the button on the left side of the page that says everything else..then go to amp ratings 1997-2003 look for your model number..and that is your 4 ohm rating and if it is not on there just divided the highest rating and divided it down to 4 ohms
