you if any person should know 3000 watts is not easy for a daily driver $$$.not a lot of amps do 3k watts. plus amp would be more expensive then the woofer. I am fully aware it can take more watts. Its just I don't have 500+ to throw at amp. Plus I don't listen to loud music. This woofer makes your ears ring. It sounds ****en loud already compared to my older 05 15" xxx. So I am quite happy with the setup.

i never said bump at loud levels alday everyday....but y spend so much money on a sub that u not going to make full use of every once in a while?

i like my hearing too...even though i can do 135+db's at 30hz doesnt mean i'm doing it everyday

not only do i like my hearing i like my to have a decent electrical and not fry an alt as well

yea I listen to it at times at very high volumes with ear plugs on. my electrial system can handle about 2500 watts at 1500rpms. 0 guage setup with 220 amp alternator.

ya it looks like it has at least 700-900 watts going to it, but I highly doubt 1800. U can still hear music over the bass. lol
