One Kicker 12's vs. Two Assassin 12's

Right now I have two Assassin 12's in a 3.5ft^3 @ 32Hz box getting 800W total.

I'd be getting a 12" of either L5, L7 or CVX. It'd be in ~2ft^3 @ 35Hz (or whatever is recommended) getting 800W.

How would one Kicker sub compare to the two Assassin's?

Right now I'm leaning towards the L7, it is about the max of my price range and I should have just enough power for it.

Would it have any chance of being as loud as the Assassin's?

could be, the l7's are loud. you'd probably be losing a bit SQ though.

L7 would probably be your best bet...but they like big boxes. Additionally, say good bye to your sound quality....

I reccomend going with a quality 12 or even 15 and investing in sound deadening to make up for the lack of cone area....

I would put those Assassins in a larger enclosure and see how you like them.

well, the main goal of the change would be to go to one 12" to get some trunk space back, without losing much output.

do you care about sq at all? if not you could go with a massive audio dmx stage 2, can take any power you throw at em, can get insanely loud, and like smaller boxes.
