one Infinity Ref1230w vs. two SAS EL1204

Power is the MTX Thunder 6500D (250x1@4ohms/500x1@2ohms)

Right now I am running two SAS Bazooka EL1204's which is 500W@2ohms

(Sealed in 1.1 cu. ft. each)

I am considering switching out for the Infinity Ref 1230w in Moe's 2cu.ft@30hz slot vented sub box design. The MTX would only push at 250x1@4ohms with the Infinity as opposed to the 500x1@2ohms it is supposed to be pushing now.

My tastes are across the board from Country to Rap, so I am looking for the level playing field.

Opinions or suggstions as to wqhich... stick with or swap out?

Well, I have no way of measuring the difference, and I'm not into SPL.

The difference is huge though. Just the quality of sound alone has convinced me to keep the Infinity and slot vent in the 4Runner. Not to mention half the load on my amp.

I didn't document through the process, cuz it's only a box, but kudos to Moe for the Plans in the Enclosure section.

Here's the front just prior to completion

All-in-all it cost about 5.5hrs of work, and well worth the sound difference from the original 2 SAS 1204's
