I would say amp only, then you could use a multimeter and check your ground, power and remote turn on just for kicks.

its a 60 amp fuse, that not to small is it ?

edit:sorry double post

If there is a short in the power wire, when it is completely disconnected, there will be a continuous loup from the good ground through the power wire. Thus telling you that electricity is flowing through the PWR wire somehow. That is why he said disconnect both sides.

How many amps, how much wattage for each?

Is there a way a multimeter could be used to eliminate this?

disconect the power cable from the battery ones you have replaced the fuse. disconet the power cable from the amp, with a dmm using the continuity setting, put one tester on the power cable and the other to a good ground if it beeps you have a short some where on that power cable. if you dont have a short. disconect the speaker from the amp. hock the amplifier back up and turn it on if it blows it , your amp is bad if it dont. then your sub might be shorted.
x2...10 bux says that ur power wire is shorted to ground

if his power wire was shorted his car woulda burned down by now
if there was a direct flow to ground the battery would drain itself and shit would burn
not true, thats why his fuse blow. hes talking about the fuse you put right by the battery not the amp fuse.
