omg

Would not blow the fuse instantly unless he was using something like a 5mA fuse.
Fuses usually take a small amount of time to blow, so it could just be a bad fuse. But I would check for faulty grounds and then pick up a new fuse. The fuse that came with the wiring kit should be right for the gauge power wire you had. Just make sure you don't get a fuse rated too high for the power wire you are running. That could cause some serious problems.

the one it came with was a 60a fuse. it wasnt the cilinder ones

it was a 4 gauge kit

do u think i shoould go wit the same fuse or try anotheer one, i dun want to fry nething

A fuse blows for a reason //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Check the entire length of the power wire. Make sure it was not sttripped anywhere. Make sure the amp is connected properly.

disconect the power cable from the battery ones you have replaced the fuse. disconet the power cable from the amp, with a dmm using the continuity setting, put one tester on the power cable and the other to a good ground if it beeps you have a short some where on that power cable. if you dont have a short. disconect the speaker from the amp. hock the amplifier back up and turn it on if it blows it , your amp is bad if it dont. then your sub might be shorted.

The give away that it is not a bad fuse is the fact that it popped instantly. That is usually an indicator of wayy too much current, and since he did not get to hear it, the amplifier was not pulling that current trying to make a signal, it was pulling it because I suspect it was shorted out somewhere.
