I know the CD1 does not, but have not seen the D2. You also might want to look at the Eclipse units in the same price-range, they will play DVD's and have a slight edge on the SQ. I might be wrong, but I think the Pioneer's only have 2V pre-outs as well . . . just something to think about.

coo....what is a eclipse model equivalent to the two pioneers mentioned?

avn 5435 or the 5495

those are the older ones eclipse now has new ones

You can probably pick the 5435 for a reasonable price now that the 5500 and the 6600 are released.

Also, you can bypass the Eclipse units by grounding the parking break line, the Pioneer's get a little tricky.
