Well it has been in car for a few weeks now. I have it running 3 image dynamics no name subs at 1.6 ohm and aura front stage / rear fill. So far she just gets warm to the touch, not scorching like I thought it would be at 1.6ohm...

It has WAY more than enough power for my taste, sound is simply flawless. After dwelling off into class d amp land for a few years, going back to class a/b is really enjoying. Mabey it is the monsterous size of the a7, the perfect looks... or mabey all the gold. Whatever it is, the sub output seems to be more balanced... more depth... more going on feel wise in the subsonic range. It kinda makes sense to me after thinking about it as all the class D amps I have used have had subsonic cutoffs at 20hz. I know technically I should not hear a difference blah blah... but there is somthing about this baby I just cannot put my finger on... just the word "musical" comes to mind which I know I should not be saying about a class a/b amp... Would love for some locals to take a listen and see if I am just dreaming.

Well in short, I can reccomend this amp to pretty much anyone. It has down low balls, and perfect clarity. I am pretty much an SQ guy but turn the bass up on any good rap song and it has enough grunt to really throw the 10" id subs around without issues. It also has nice headroom. When pushed beyond it's limits it does not go funky like most of the new amps I have messed with. It clips with grace much like my old USamps usa400 did.

I have to say... After owning more amps than I can ever name or remember... Thinking 99% of all 5 channel or 6 channel amps are garbage... I think this has to be the most perfect amplifier for a car audiophile EVER built. And that is the bottom line.

Eh crap, I am up in the air on it. I do not have the cash to buy the helix a6 new right now as I have to spend that on christmas presents for the fam and kids so I do not think I will. I had a guy in Canada ready to buy for my asking price but I am not to happy with dealing out of the country anymore as I have been hosed several times now... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Man it is a hard decision... best amp I have ever owned.
