Well as most of you know my a7 was damaged a bit in shipping from Canada, but the good news is she looks to be ok. I got home today, rushed to the aid of my latest desire, ripped her bottom off "cover that is" and proceded to fondle, stare and take many many ***** photos! I am not including pics of the damage for I want this thread to be a drool fest anyways haha. The damage was to the mounting tab on the REAR thank god. Looks to be repairable with my 20 ton press. Everything else is pretty close to being as promised. Not enough for me to complain about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Will test her out tonight to make sure all is ok "looks perfect inside with no loose parts, cracks or damage". I think it took this kind of a hit with no damaged because both circuit boards in this amp are rubber isolated / shock mounted!! Simply amazing. This is an amp that when you see it in person, it is more amazing than the pics can show. I feel like Indiana Jones opening a treasure chest of gold when I poped the cover. It just shines and sparkles from all angles! So far I reccomend DLS to ANYONE!!!

was that amp brand new?
No, was used as a show demo but never powered. Was packed bad and dropped. Took a hit to the rear mounting plate in the left side and bent it up pretty bad but I think and pray she will be ok. Mark Bruno has been very helpfull and will file a claim if needed. Already offered $50 for the trouble.

In the 3rd pic, did not even notice it but you can see the bent mounting plate. And yes Bimma, I have had some really crappy luck latley purchasing online //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif But this baby, even though not flawless, is amazing and worth every penny!

She is quite the beast. 24" long. Heavy and solid. Very impressive build on the amp. Setup in a dual board design "one 4 channel and the monoblock sun channel" all class a/b! Looks like the powersupply is on the sub bored and it feeds the 4 channel through the gold plated long bus bars. She is rated at 60x4 and 300x1 and 4 ohm or best 100x4 @ 2 ohm and 600x1 @ 1 ohm. Another cool thing is she has an internal and external fan output that is temp controlled! So much this thing does, So many knobs and switches it is going to take me awhile to get used to her.

damm thast a badass amp...its soo big...looks like it is capable of making me breakfast and drive me to work...what can it do???is it one of those amps thats two amps in one?

I actually used the fan outputs on my last amprack, and it was so freakin cool. I touched the fans and they weren't moving, and freaked out. Then I later figured out they were temperature dependent.

Do you happen to know if all the Ultimate amps are burr brown'd?

Are these amps underated at all?

Not 100% sure, I get mixed reviews from the overseas sites that I translate. Some say hell yeah some say puts out what it is rated. From what I can tell with a peak current draw of 120 amp she is capable of peak transients of 1728w before she melts carpet or blows fuses but that is just an estimate knowing she is a 100% class a/b. She is rated to do 1000rms at peak ohm load all channels added together. I will be doing some testing of my own. Also no magazine has tested this amp below 2 ohm but DLS assures me she is stable at 1 ohm and if I really get on it allot to use cooling fans

One thing I cannot figure out is, were are all the mosfets at..?? Are they pressed under the board...??
