I never ride it much anymore...I always take my RZR now days...I just got through putting seperates and a subwoofer in my RZR...It sounds pretty sweet...All the work in the system was complete custom no mainstream aftermarket garbage

Bronco 2's are nice little trucks. PRetty much like a jeep. Strong 4x4 system in them for what they are and being a short wheelbase and not too heavy, they are great for some back woods action.

its an auto I think...manual hubs and most likely a 2.9 V6 being an 89...a 4.0 with 5spd manual would be very tempting

I own an 87 2WD with the 6cyl and auto *****, those engines arent great for acceleration, but they have more torque than you think.

I imagine it would be great for pulling up the side of hills.

To be honest, I had to look it up since I havent driven mine for 3 years.

It has a bad torque converter.

Straight sixes are the longest running consumer mass market engines made, period. ever. Think twice before you give them a weird look. That engine is in my '67 Falcon Sports Coupe. My neighbor had a mustang with the original straight 6 going on 600k when he sold it still running like new. If you get the bronc id drop a 351w or clevo in it, then its a real bronco. Or drop a 6 in it and have more room for alternators and batteries under the hood.
