Oldhead needs help with 2000 Mustang GT convertible

Alpine still makes some decent equipment. Personally, I replaced my head unit with a JVC Bluetooth DVD unit with a touch screen, USB, Sirius XM, and reverse camera hook up. That was a personal choice, as there are many good units out there. I tore everything out of my 2006 and used crutchfield.com for the head unit, speaker, and amplifier comparisons before deciding on which I wanted and could afford. I purchased some equipment from them, and some from other sites such as Best Buy, Amazon, and Sonicelectronics when they had better prices.
I went with 2 -12" subs. again, that was a personal choice, and may have been "overkill.". One is fine if you get the sound you want.
Good luck with your project.
