older headunit wont take cd's.....? what to do...?

hey i found an older AIWA head unit that i completely forgot about, i was gonna put it in my dads truck, but the darn thing wont accept CD's, i put them in the slot, and it doesnt take them in, what can i do to fix this?

im taking the cd player apart now, i can see that there is a CD in the player, so maybe it just got jammed or something... any other ideas?

anyone got anything else in mind? not sure what to do once i pull the thing apart...

get the old cd out and try it....probably bad motor or broken plastic gear to eject the cd
