Older (about 2006) RE Audio Subwoofer - but which model is this?

I bought a 12" RE Sub in around 2006 (prior to them being bought out) but I never got around to installing it. I finally decided to put it in my SUV but so much time has passed I can't for the life of me remember which model it is so I can select the proper enclosure. Can some of you RE Subwoofer fanatics out there help decode what I'm looking at please? I have the specs for their newer subs which suggests it's an SX but being that they changed the baskets and probably a lot of other things that's not reliable info. Now they have about twice as many models which is making me more confused since I think they had just 3 or 4 models back in the day.

The basket is about 3.25" and the motor is about 3.25" as well.

You're help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Dan

From those pictures, I concur with you, that does appear to be the sx model due to the width of the magnets. If I recall correctly, the 10inch model like 1.25, the 12 would probably do well at either 1.75 or 2cuft net. At 1000 wrms tuned at 32hrtz, and I believe that you will be pleased with the output

Awesome, thank you so much for your reply! So on the SX they recommend only ported enclosures, is that right? And the CU.FT info you provided is for a ported enclosure, right? I've only had sealed enclosures so far, so I'm a little concerned that a ported enclosure won't sound super tight like a sealed box. But like I said, I have no experience with ported so maybe I'm not giving them their due credit and it will be plenty 'tight'.

Yeah....those older RE subs were kinda tough to identify because they didn't mark them when they were made. No stickers, engraves, etc. They look very identical to my old SE's. That particular line all looked the same. Unless the person kept the box which would say, kinda ***** but luckily a few people know a bit of history on them.

As macsdad said, only way to tell is diff motor dia/magnets and I think something else. The SX line has a rms of 1000.

The other diff is the 8 layered voice coil on the sx model.

Thanks for all the replies guys! Yeah, it's a bummer they didn't mark them. If I remember the only model that had a differentiation was the XXX which had that branding on the cone... the rest just said RE. Well, per your suggestion of not putting them in a prefab enclosure, can I get away with selecting one that is tuned appropriately for this subwoofer or do I need to have a one off unit made? I'm a machinist and have made a few sealed enclosures in my youth but I don't know the first thing about how to make a ported enclosure, especially one that isn't essentially a homemade prefab enclosure. Again, thanks for the input - I knew there had to be some legacy RE knowledge on this site.
