Guys just picked up 2 POWERBASE ES12D EVOLUTION SERIES 12" DUAL 4-OHM VOICE COIL SUBWOOFERs. I see some specs on sealed. like .85 cu ft per woofer but I want to port them. Anyone ever use these in a ported box? These are the older chrome evo series.

Someone want to spec out a box for me. Smallest ported will do. I can give dems of the trunk I know it cant be more then 35 wide and 14 tall. Depth is what ever but like i said smallest box possible while holding decent sound. Looking more spl.

wow 43 looks and no one replying! I cant spec anything my home pc is down no bass box!

I had a pair of PBX es12d's in a ported box. 3/4" MDF with exterior dimensions of 36"W x 22"D x 14"H which has an internal volume of about 5.2 cubic feet. 2 4"dia x 12" vents. Open interior with blocked inner corners, 2 sections of cross bracing, seams air-nailed and poly-glued, covered with formica (seams covered), then covered with auto carpet. Heavy hog! Flat down to about 48Hz and hits 28Hz (-3db). I wired the subs DVC's so the amp saw 4ohms powered by an Infinity 1211A (850w RMS @ 4ohms). Takes a large box...was in the back of my Buick GN....car & sound were head turners!

was a pb dealer back in the day 1.3-1.5 per woofer tuned to 32-35hz. amazing sounding subs and they get loud...
