Rare piece, I see the 2-channel amps all the time but this is a 4-channel 25x4 amp from back in the day. American made. Nice solid Optidrive. I have other Opti's as well that I'm trying to "match" so if you have other blue Opti's I am open to trades. I also have (2) 50's, (2) 100's, and a 200 and a 500 that are both in the hands of a local amp guru getting the caps and mosfets replaced. I'm looking for more 500's or 200's. The 50 in the picture is also for sale if I can get another 500 or 200.

$95 shipping in ConUSA and Paypal included! The amp for sale is on the lower right of the picture.

mines blue too and yes 50 x 2.. ahhh so this is a 4 channel. makes since now
Do you have a picture you could send me? I'd like to see what yours looks like since it has a different "naming" convention but the same heatsink and I was almost 100% positive the "2" in front of the number means, basically 2nd generation and therefore a black amplifier with gold/yellow writing as opposed to my blue with white writing.

What do I know, I hated these amps when they first came out and am only going back to them for nostalgia's sake. Going into a 1993 car so I wanted a period correct installation.

But- I don't hate them anymore! These are OG American amps people!!!

They started the different numbering scheme with a handful of the blue heatsink opti's. The "2" designates 2-channel amplifier. There was a 4100 and a 4200 later on also. "4" meaning 4-channel amplifier.

Same amplifiers, same internals, just slightly different naming. Then the heatsinks went to the powdercoated black heatsinks with the same style of lettering and numbering, but in gold colored graphics. When the lettering and numbering graphics changed, that was when Pyramid bought the company.

Used to have a few of the old OptiDrive amps and I loved them. Very clean sounding amp. Pretty much does it's rated power and not too much more, but at low distortion levels with an excellent s/n ratio.

Then you need this zesty little 4-channel. Again I see 2's all day long but this is the first 100Q I've seen so far, I just have no use for it in my very simple 6-speaker system I'm planning. I got it in a "package" deal with some other Opti's that I am now trying to match up.
