Old School amps > New shit?

I do need counselling, I buy amps to put away. And what? lmao

Im a SQ junkie, maybe thats one reason I prefer A/B. I have been in the game for 15years, I dont care for the SPL and massive amounts of power. Im to old, lol... Again, thats me...

Exactly. But studies have shown that people can not detect distortion amounts even higher than those from a Class D amplifier in the low frequency range.
Well fantastic. But I personally don't care. I believe in the qualities of A/B's and whether or not I can distinguish the difference in that range I'd still prefer the A/B for ultimate SQ, but that is just my opinion and not a proven fact.

Ok, as long as you acknowledge that it is just an opinion I am fine with that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Science may prove a lot however I refuse to sit down and do my own thing. I've had many people tell me how good my mids and highs sound. Eclipse 8454, PPI ProMos-450, ID OEM's and DD tweeters. Nothing too crazy and the mids are in the kicks, tweets in the dash. All processing done by the deck and the US Amps X-3 crossover. It is not a perfect setup by any means and I don't want to hack up my doors but it sounds good enough for me to run it daily. I don't set gains with a multimeter and get into the crossovers and all that good shit. But I can assure you that it sounds good not because of my actions and beliefs but because of how many people sat in my car and told me they wanted their car to sound like that. Plus my ears like it too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yea, my car is the same way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Except when I install my Germaniums I intend to go active, deaden and seal my doors and somehow move my tweeters to a better location, but being in Michigan the earliest I could see that happening is May //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Not to pick on you bose, but how did you go from this:

Sorry, but no. If you were to put the amps on actual measurement equipment the new amps would have less noise, be more powerful and be more efficient.
to this:

Well, to sum up my feelings, good quality is good quality whether it is new or old. If you like what you are using go ahead and use it obviously.
