OK, whats up with my amp?!

Well my hifonics 1206D has been acting strange. When I turn it on sometimes theres a loud turn on pop. Rarely, the amp will just start surging feed back and bumping the sub by itself. It can do it even with the rca's unplugged. also, if its rumbling the sub and you bump the amp against the floor it will stop. Has anything like this happened to anyone else? Also when I hook up my other amp it works fine so I don't think its a ground issue. I'm thinking there must be a loose connection in the rca inputs, if it is, is it something I can fix myself? Please help me out here:crap:

interesting, check the ground of your amp and make sure it's grounded to some scraped off metal

What do you have between the HU and Amp? It sounds like something is turning on after the amp. I wouldn't worry about the ground.

It sounds more like a grounding issue. My P5002 does this on very rare occasions. I found I new grounding point (had to move my amp anyway) and it hasn't done it again.
