Ok to use distro block with only one amp?

I want to plug my 0 gauge wire into my distro block then run 4 gauge to my amp because 0 wont fit. I plan on adding another amp soon though.

Will this work ok or is it a stupid thing to do?

I could I guess but I already have the distro block and will be adding another amp anyways. Dont really feel like putting a reducer on if this will work.
