ok so now my amp will not turn off

Well i got in the car and noticed the amp will not turn off i re-ran everything well checked each conection at the HU at the battery and at the ground everything is great. I took the main fuse out and plugged it back in an now there is a high humming or w/e its a **** noise. why is all this stuff going wrong with my amp.

Pull the remote wire and see if amps shuts off. If so, is the remote wire wired into the remote wire on the cd player? Or, do you have it wired into the power on the cd player?

Or the power wire could have a few loose strands touching the remote wire/terminal...

i unplugged everything except for the power and ground wires and it was on still. none of the power wire stands were touching the remote

Is it a Rockford amp? my friend had to take one back last week because of that.

i hooked up my TMA and everything works great. i will try to hook it back up but i am so pissed cuz i just got this amp like a week ago and it worked perfect for about 2-3 days and then started to have problems and now this.

As far as I know Fosgate still makes Lightning. Not that that means anything... but the amp may show that it is one but might be having some short out problem internally, causing it to stay on even when the remote isn't hooked up. I'd send it back to where you got it if you can and get it warrantied.

Sounds like you also induced the famous pioneer ground loop.

to the right of the top big red coil of wires it looks a little burnt

this is what the undercover looks like .... i did not do anything to this amp out of the normal i guess i should have looked at it a lot closer before i bought it? but it worked fine when i got it
