Ok need help I keep hearing distortion from Sub

Ok just got my like new Rd 15 in and I wired it down to 1ohm to my powerbass 3000d. And here is the problem. Whenever I turn it up and the sub hits higher bass notes I can hear distortion, or what sound like it. But it hits the lows fine nearly braking my truck. The voltage does not drop down below 13v and My cd player

is set to 0 bass on the Eq which it the half way mark, and the loud is on med

and the bass boost is off. And the amp's bass boost is off and everything from the radio to the amp is set a 50hz. And it still sounds like it's distorting....

Any Ideas.....

Do you have the bass boost turned up on the amp ? Also is your gain cranked on the amp ? If they are that might be your problem.

bass boost on amp is off and gain is half way... If i turn it down any more then I want be able

to hear any bass Ugh this is aggravating. Its already not as loud as it could be

One issue. And second - Half way isnt proper. A DMM, or better yet, a o-scope would be the best here.

With your gain set at "half," you could still easily be clipping your signal, depending on which HU you're using.

Yeah I think Im gonna go to the local shop this weekend because they have a O-scope,

The radio I use is a http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=18869

And it has 4v pre outs
